No BEA? Books Anyway, Books Bought #7

This morning I saw that Jen had posted this on her blog No BEA? Books Anyway. Curious I had to go and check it out. Basically what its about is that even though we aren't at BEA that doesn't mean that we can't take part in the activities. Tonight on Twitter there is a virtual party that is happening just as the real tweetup will be happening. The only thing that is missing is the books and that is the part that we have to go and buy books either at a Library Sale, Indie sale, second hand book sale or a bookstore. What a great idea. Check it out.

I was in a book love slump so having a reason to go and buy books today was a great idea.

I have to say that this week was a really quiet week for books coming into my house by mail as you will see on Monday in my Mailbox Monday post.

Here is what I bought at the second hand book store:
-The Secret Dreamworld of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella (I saw this and I don't remember reading this one so I was excited to buy this.)
-Learning Curves by Gemma Townley
-Posh by Lucy Jackson
-White Bikini Panties by Kelly James-Enger
-The Clique by Lisi Harrison
-13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Jackson
-The After Life by Daniel Ehrenhaft
-The It Girl by Cecily Von Ziegesar
-Nototious by Cecily Von Ziegesar
I also bought two books for Michael you can see them in the picture.

Okay sadly after my appointment with the Speech Therapist at Michael's school I went to chapters with the intention of only finding something with phonics for him. He is having a hard time with his Fs and Vs and some other ways letters are pronounced. I ended up looking around to kill some time before I had to pick him up at school. This is what I bought:
-a deck of cards for Michael called Word Families
-Marshmallows for Breakfast by Dorothy Koomson
-Mon cahier de vacances (french workbook for Michael to do over the summer)
-The complete book of Phonics (workbook for Michael to do over the summer)

What a great haul! I have most of those on my list. I love second hand bookstores but don't have any good ones around. We don't even have a regular book store anymore. Enjoy your books and your weekend!

You picked up some great books! I wish there was a used bookstore near me. I've been hearing about The Chosen One - will love to hear what you think about it!

I'm so glad everyone who missed BEA made the best of it. I've never heard of that Shopaholic book.
