The Mailbox Post of Epic Proportioness

Can you believe its time for another IMM post. Where is the time going and we are already into March.

Mailbox Monday is a gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week and explore great book blogs. Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists.

Mailbox Monday is originally hosted by Marcia from A girl and her books and The Printed Page. In the summer of 2010 Marcia decided she needed a change in hosting and didn't want to rely on one blogger alone to do it because its a lot of work so she decided to put Mailbox Monday on tour and so far with great success it has made monthly stops at more then a dozen blogs and this year is booked until the end. I will actually be hosting Mailbox Monday in April.

The host for February was DC Metro Reader. I linked to DC because technically I would consider it her week. The host for March is an awesome blogger that I follow Anna from Diary of an Eccentric.

Another host for In My Mailbox is Kristi from The Story Siren.

Be sure to check out the above blogs to see what they and others got in their mailboxes this past week.

This week was a crazy week in books and if you watch the vlog you will see why. After seeing the vlog you will see why I had to do a vlog this week.

This week I got a surprise in the mail that I wasn't expecting until at least next week and I was so excited to get in on Friday. If you are a friend of mine in real life or on facebook you will know of the problems I have been having with my Kobo.

If not then I will tell you. Last year when I met up with the local Montreal book bloggers for the first time we went to Chapters and I was looking at the new Kobos and this really nice employee came over and was talking to me and I was telling him about the issues/problems I have encountered with my kobo which at the time was only a year old but of course past the warrently stage and he told me he knew of several customers having the same issue and to contact Kobo.

For me it was a slow start up, (its only been used perhaps two dozen times, the only books I have on it were the ones it came with and perhaps a few ARCs) I also found it seemed to take forever to charge and turning the pages seemed to take forever.

When I called the first time we did a factory reset and it still didn't improve anything so she ended up putting me to a level tier 2 support problem well sadly a month went by with no response so I emailed them in regards to that and still nothing. Finally making a comment on their facebook page resulted in contact only to have the issue replied to was an old magazine subscription problem I had in 2010 of course that meant another call and this point I was rather annoyed because they told me to resend the email which I did with a request from Kobo to send all kinds of info and photos to them. Well the ended with a reply that was basically sorry your not under warrenty you will need to buy a new one.  Which I did reply to with a yea I will be buying a new ereader. A kindle!

Thankfully a blogging friend of mine,  had an issue recently with Kobo and had to call and thankfully she was telling the guy several people had issues with Kobo and he was gracious enough to look into our problems so long story short my problem was resolved rather quickly and I got a new WiFi Kobo.

I will probably do a product review on it this week. I just want to read the booklet I got before I do anything.

I hope you had a good week and I will see you all again next week. Happy reading everyone.
