Since I am this months host of Mailbox Monday, I will be keeping the weekly Mailbox Monday Posts on top so that everyone can find the Mailbox post easily and leave their links. Please note that all new posts are following this one.
Can you believe its time for another IMM post? Where is the time going? I can't believe its been a month and I am really sad to see the month end.
Mailbox Monday is a gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week and explore great book blogs. Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists.
Mailbox Monday is originally hosted by Marcia from A girl and her books and The Printed Page. In the summer of 2010 Marcia decided she needed a change in hosting and didn't want to rely on one blogger alone to do it because its a lot of work so she decided to put Mailbox Monday on tour and so far with great success it has made monthly stops at more then a dozen blogs and this year is booked until the end. I will actually be hosting Mailbox Monday in April.
The host for May is Martha from Reviews by Martha's Bookshelf a blogger that I have been following for the longest time now. Be sure to check her out.
I was super excited to be the host for April and I just want to say to those who left their links (I have checked out each and everyone of your blogs) and to all the fantastic comments you left. They meant alot and seeing them brightened up my day. You all took the time out to link and comment and I will always appreciate it. I strive to do that from now on.
I have been introduced to so many great books this month and sadly my wishlist is bursting at the seams. I have discovered so many new bloggers this month that I am excited to check them out on a regular bases.
So thank you everyone for welcoming me to the Mailbox Monday family. I had a blast.
As you can see I am not linking to another blogger's Mailbox meme and for me its a personal reason (I am sure you know about this incident that happened last week) and it seems like a lot of other bloggers aren't either.
Quite a few bloggers have started there own mailbox features and one of them is Tynga's Reviews . She is a local blogger and a super sweet person. If you haven't checked out Tynga's blog you really should.
Tynga's Reviews (this link will take you directly to her post)
If you happen to be hosting a mailbox feature on your blog please leave a link in my comments and I will be sure to add it in my mailbox post next week.
Anways enough of my ramblings.
Here is what I got this week:
I will start of with freebies I got:
-From Glade I got two packs of compost bags that contained three bags each.
-From Yves Saint Laurent a mini sample of Forever youth Liberator serum and touche eclat
Product to review:
-A tshirt. (Review to come in the next week or so)
Bought:
When I was at the dollar store last week I saw this super cute package of kleenex that I had to buy because one pack contained owls. Love it
For Review:
Thanks to Simon & Schuster Canada for sending me this surprise package. I was so thrilled to get this.
-The Unnaturalists by Tiffany Trent (rd August 2012) I haven't heard of this book but it sounds really interesting.
-Surrender by Elana Johnson (rd June 2012) This is the sequel to Possession. ( I will have to look for this the next time I am out)
-Envy by Elizabeth Miles (rd September 2012) This is the second book in the Fury trilogy. The first book is Fury. This is another beautiful cover. Love it.
I also got the Chronicle Books catalog that I am super excited to look through. I am on the hunt for children books to read in the school library on the days I have to work there. The kids are getting tired of hearing the same books over and over again so it will be nice to add some new stuff into the reading time.
Those books from Simon & Schuster look great - enjoy!
ReplyDeleteAHHH looooove the books you got for revieww!!! Great samples too! :D
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy,
ReplyDeleteWhat another great haul of giveaways you have manged to amass this wee, I don't know how you do it!
Unfortunately, there aren't any great book finds there for me this week. Partly because a couple of them are sequel books to an existing series and the other one just isn't from a genre which I particularly enjoy.
Thanks for hosting during April though, it has been fun to chat with some new people.
Yvonne
Envy looks really good! I haven't read the first book in the series but it sounds great - will have to check it out. Enjoy all your goodies! :)
