This holiday weekend marks the annual Friends of the Library booksale for my local libraries.
I was super excited to go as I always am because you never know what you will find hidden amongst the books.
This year I managed to go on the presale day (which is today) and this allows me to pay a yearly fee ($10) and this allows me early access to the sale before everyone else comes this weekend.
I have been told in the past that I should pay this small fee so that I can get in before hand. So since today was a ped day for my son we decided to walk to it.

This year the moved locations and quite honestly I think this could be a huge downfall for them this year because in previous years they have held the sale in the arena which is huge and plenty of room to move around in and this year they moved to a local chalet and quiet honestly there wasn't alot of room it seemed small and jammed pack.
They had plenty of tables and they were still putting books out when we were leaving. Now there wasn't that many there when I got there apart from handful of volunteers but it was hard to get around to look at the books while this was going on.
Sadly there wasn't alot of selection of books available. The majority of the books were previous library books and some very old hardcovers and paper backs. A good majority of the books were in french this year compared to other years. There was also alot more public donations in previous years as well.
So everything I am going to show you was bought for $8. So its not that bad although I have done better at previous library sales.
They were selling these posters for $1 each and we liked them so the big one is Michael's and that little one is mine. The books we got were:
- Hockey's Hottest Defensemen
- Diary of a Wimpy Kid dvd
- Wayne Gretsky The Great One and the Next ones VHS
- Fifty Shades of Grey Vol 1 E.L James ( I was surprised to see this one there and nabbed it)
- Annabel by Kathleen Winter
- Teen Idol by Meg Cabot
- Penguins
- Jump Math workbooks 2 (1 &2) and 3 (1 & 2)
Ooh, you got Annabel by Kathleen Winter! I want to read that one. Too bad the selection was a bit sparse this year.
